Getting started

To use audience exclusion with Facebook Ads, you first need to set up an audience tag. We use this tag to build the audience for exclusion.

For this setup, you create a Meta Pixel to use with Spider AF. Meta is Facebook's parent company.

You can set up a maximum of 100 pixels per Meta business account. If you have already reached this limit, you may need to delete one to use audience exclusion.

How to create an audience tag

  1. Log in to Facebook Business Manager.

If you are using a personal account, you may see Meta Business Suite instead of the interface below. Make sure to log in to your business account.

  2. Click the All tools button on the left menu, then click Events Manager.

  3. On the left menu, click Connect data sources.

  4. Select Web, then click Connect.

  5. Add a name for the pixel, then click Continue.

  6. Type in your website, then click Check.

  7. If integrations are suggested, uncheck the boxes beside them. Click Next.

  8. Select Meta pixel only, then click Next.

  9. Click Install Code Manually.

  10. Click Copy code, then paste the text into the Spider AF contact window.

  11. You can now close the Facebook Events Manager window. You do not have to complete the workflow.

We can guide you through this setup with screen sharing. Please contact us if you have any trouble.
