Q: There are data discrepancies between our network data and Spider AF?

Written by Itzayana Rodríguez

A: The discrepancy occurs because of a fundamental difference in how the two systems measure a "click."

While X Network records a click the moment a user interacts with the ad on the search engine or display network, Spider AF's "click count" is actually based on the number of times the Spider AF tracking tag fires after the user arrives on your landing page.

Because Spider AF relies on this tag firing on your website, you may see different volume of clicks in Spider AF for the following reasons:

Users leaving before the page loads (Drop-offs) If a user clicks your Google Ad but closes the browser or hits the "back" button before your landing page and the Spider AF tag have enough time to fully load, Google Ads will register the ad click, but Spider AF will not detect the visit since the tag never fired.
