Introduction
Setting up invalid click exclusion for Meta Ads requires connecting your Meta Ads account with Spider AF via API.
This help article explains how to set up the API integration if you have previously connected Spider AF via API.
⚠️ If you have never connected Spider AF via API before and have manually set up exclusion settings based on this help article, please refer to the help article for “Users Who Have Never Connected Spider AF via API” instead of this one.
Setup Steps
1. From the left-side menu on the Spider AF dashboard, go to Ad Fraud Protection > Configrations > Ad Networks, then select Meta.
Click Connect an ad account to proceed with the API integration setup.
2. Select the business account you want to connect.
3. Once selected, the account will be displayed on the Spider AF dashboard.
The Audience Exclusion toggle will appear on the right side.
Click the toggle to enable audience exclusion.
4. A window for selecting a Pixel ID will appear.
The previously linked Pixel ID should already be selected.
Please click Enable to proceed.
💡After enabling this setting, a new custom audience named SAFIVT will be created under Campaigns in Meta Ads Manager.
5. At the bottom of the Spider AF dashboard, check the Audience Exclusions section and confirm that one new column has been added for the audience tag ID of the ad account you set up.
It may take a few minutes for this to be reflected.
6. Please reload the page. Once the Audience Exclusion toggle turns green and is switched ON, the setup is complete.
